A boudoir session is a photography session where you wear sexy outfits, lingerie, and dresses, or even go scantily clad and get your photographs taken for a number of reasons:

It is more than the art of the female body, it is also about loving and celebrating you as a woman. This is a gateway to boost your confidence and empower things you can do for yourself and as a woman! In our world today, women feel pressured to look and act a certain way. We oftentimes try to fit the image that has been created for us by society. Boudoir shoots may show you the “flaws” in a new positive light and highlight the unique you, it drives you to transform your insecurities into accepting them.

FAQs

1. Most boudoir photos show women in sexy lingerie, corsets, and stockings. Do we have to bring our own outfits or do you provide them?
   We definitely have an in-house collection of lingerie, corsets, and even accessories for women to choose from. This is to save the hassle of you buying and thinking about what to wear for the photo session but we also do encourage you to bring a few items you own, to make the photos personal. This way it helps you be more comfortable and be just who you are the whole session.
2. Do I have to wear lingerie?
   Definitely not, You should wear whatever you’re comfortable with! Your photo session should reflect who you are, which means wearing what you love! It’s only you who can decide what level of nudity you want to allow.
3. Will you share my images? 
   I know for some this must be life-changing, some are still starting to get comfortable in their own skin and on their self-love journey and aren’t ready to share intimate photos. We totally understand and respect that! We always ask for consent and let you sign if you want us to share your photos or not.
4. I don’t know how to pose, will you help me?
   Absolutely! It’s my job to guide you throughout the process and I will be there every step of the way to make you feel confident in front of the camera. I will mirror the pose for you and give you helpful tips!
5. Do you Photoshop my images?
   Yes and no, I will always retouch your images but only those that need retouching. During our session, we will discuss how much editing you want me to do. I always aim for you to believe in your beauty and to be confident about flaws and imperfections.
6. Where is your studio located?
   I am still working on my new photo studio but during our call, I will discuss it with you and arrange a studio for us to have our photo session.
7. Do you have payment plans?
   Yes, you can first pay $300 as an initial payment and the remaining amount should be pay before the booked session date.
8. How long does a shoot last?
   Our boudoir session lasts up to 2 hours of shooting time.
9. Is hair and makeup included?
   Professional Hair & Makeup is part of our package already! On the day of the session, you will get to have fun pampering with us. You can also choose to do your own hair & makeup if you’d like!

Seasons come to pass, each time the same and yet different in ways. Every year, as the months of March and April approach, rippling white and pink flowers bloom on the cherry blossom trees adorning iconic spots such as the Thomas Jefferson Memorial and Tidal Basin signifying the arrival of spring. Another amazing background is the blooming of beautiful magnolia blossoms found in Rawlins Park and Smithsonian Castle just a week before the cherry blossoms bloom. 

As the Cherry Blossom Season approaches, it is fitting to talk about Julia’s engagement session with Por and Jared that was taken in the Thomas Jefferson Memorial.

“Our love story is fun and adventurous. We both love photography. Jared and I met through the photography event in DC. in 2019. He took me on the 1st date to the dark room where we developed film shots together. When Covid lockdowns happened we spent a lot of time together which deepened our relationship. We decided to get married at the beginning of 2021. Our wedding took place at his parents home with a small group of family and friends.”

Photo sessions during the cherry blossoms season are super popular! I don’t book blossom sessions until Peak Bloom predictions will be announced. This photo session is ideal for couples to capture a very happy moment in their lives that they can look back to. We are offering a special rate for this outdoor mini-session as this amazing time only happens once a year. Our available slots for photo sessions have also been timed to perfectly capture the beautiful blooming flowers, so don’t hesitate to book a session with us. Capturing a magical elopement in the Washington National Cathedral and the Bishop’s Garden seemed like a dream as the sun rose from the horizon and served as the best lighting for the couple, Jen and Edgar. 

Washington National Cathedral will leave you in awe of its stunning Neo-Gothic architecture and has always been one of the top locations for photo sessions, you can never go wrong with its classy and classic dream look. It can accommodate approximately 250 people and facilitates weddings of all faiths and traditions.  Along the way through, you’ll find the Bishop’s Garden that’s just behind the National Cathedral. A lovely hidden garden that is beautifully maintained and filled with emerald foliage giving the venue a fairy-tale-like feel, in no doubt a good location as well for perfect photos.

Jen and Edgar got engaged in November 2021 and planned to originally be married in August 2022, however, due to the bride’s father’s health conditions they rushed to have the wedding earlier in May 2022 so he can be in attendance and have the strength to walk Jennifer down the aisle. With that being said they were not able to get a lot of portraits done or some engagement pictures they wanted either. They just had a friend who came out with them to take some pictures with their camera. But they wanted to get some professional pictures done and when they reached out to me, we planned and executed the romantic elopement session just for the two of them on their originally planned date of August 21st, 2022.

Jen and Edgar were amazing and I wanted to do all I can to give them perfect portraits that perfectly photograph an amazing moment in their lives. I made sure to take care of the photography permit for the venue and to get the best possible lighting, we started preparing really early to get magnificent sunrise shots. It was all worth it as I captured their most precious moment, that they can fondly look back on.

Photography Permit Guidelines 

Permits must be requested at least one week before your desired photo date. Professional Still Photography price is at $250/day, this permit applies only to the Cathedral exterior, grounds, and the Bishop’s Garden. A permit will not be issued until the date and time have been cleared with the Cathedral calendar.
